November 8, 2023: DA-IICT welcomes aspiring scholars to apply for their rigorous doctoral program in ICT and related fields. The program aims to prepare students for careers in academia and industry, covering research in ICT, Mathematical & Computational Sciences, and Humanities & Social Sciences. Prospective candidates interested in these disciplines or interdisciplinary studies are encouraged to apply.

Areas
The Humanities, Social Sciences, and Design group is an interdisciplinary community of distinguished scholars working across the disciplines of Anthropology, Philosophy, Political Theory, Literary Studies, Visual Culture, Economics, History, Cultural Studies, and Design.
Eligibility Criteria
M.A./M.Com./M.B.A./M.Phil. or an equivalent degree in the desired discipline with at least 55% marks or equivalent as per the norms set by the degree awarding Institute/University.
Selection Criteria
The candidate must furnish a clear academic statement of purpose (SOP) conveying his/her intellectual background, research interests, achievements, and competencies.
Mode 1: Candidates with a valid UGC-NET JRF and/or M Phil degree will be shortlisted for the interview solely based on their statement of purpose (SOP) and other relevant academic credentials.
Mode 2: This will comprise of proctored online entrance test followed by a personal/online interview.
Note:
Shortlisting will be based on a proctored online entrance test and the selection will be based on a personal/online interview. The interview will happen via video conferencing mode either through Skype or Google Hangout/Meet.
Candidates with either M. Phil, valid NET-JRF, GATE score of 500 or above, or top rank in the University/Institute in their qualifying degree would be eligible for a DAIICT fellowship of Rs. 35,000 per month after passing the comprehensive examination.
The Current fellowship is as follows: Rs. 28,000/- per month till the completion of the comprehensive examination.
During post comprehensive period,
(a) Rs. 31,000 per month for the first two years
(b) Rs. 35,000 per month for the next two years

Application fee (non-refundable) is Rs. 1200/- plus GST@ 18% (Total Rs. 1416/-).
