March 24, 2024: In a significant development for scholars of English literature, Vinoba Bhave University in Jharkhand has released a notification for UGC-NET-qualified individuals for the position of Assistant Professor on a contractual basis.
While initially offered on a contractual basis, these positions may transit into permanent roles based on performance and institutional requirements.
About: Vinoba Bhave University
Vinoba Bhave University, established in 1992 with its headquarters in Hazaribag, Jharkhand, is located 100 kilometres from the state capital of Ranchi.
The university manages 22 colleges, including the well-established St. Columbas College, Hazaribag, which was established in 1899.
Every year, the university awards 900 B.Tech degrees, 4000 general course graduates, 550 graduates in professional and vocational courses, and 500 post-graduate degrees including M.Tech
Eligibility
According to UGC norms for Assistant Professors, candidates must have a Master’s Degree in the subject concerned with at least 55% marks (50% for SC/ST) and be NET/JET/SLET qualified or hold a PhD.
